You really want to go skiing but first you must buy some skis. To buy the skis you must cross the road to the ski shop (then you've got to get back again). If you get run over you'll have to pay medical bills. If you get run over too many times you won't have enough money left.

Of course, little does Horace know but the skiing season hasn't started yet, so if he buys some skis he won't be able to ski.
